Well this has been interesting... I haven't been able to update this site
because I haven't been able to log in, but now I can so... I'll be getting
busy!

Ack! I've been so lazy, I need to update this thing... I've been working
more on my Albino skin (which has mysteriously disappeared from my Simpage,
and I've been trying to work on a few Sim movies as well, hacks are kind of
on the back burner for the time being...

Well, once I get an adequate amount of time, this site will be getting a
huge make-over with some added features
and I'll most likely be adding my
Sims to this site
(since the exchange deleted all of them, sigh...).

Most of my Sims seem to have disappeared from thesims2.com, so I'll be busy
for a while... sorry I haven't posted anything new in a while. I'm still
alive!

As requested by an email I got a few days ago, I've posted a version of the
woohoo cinematic hack that works for the hot tubs in the game. Have a great
Christmas everyone! Now, I'm going back to making my video and skins...

Ok, all of my previous hacks should still work with the patch, but remember
you have to remove them before you actually install the patch! The
installing hack tutorial should now match the rest of the site as well.

He he! Modthesims2.com's Delphy (he owns the site) has agreed to host this
site on their server, so that means that more people should be able to visit
this site and I'll have more space to post my stuff! I haven't made the
patch compatible versions yet, but I promise I'll get it done tomorrow, in
the mean time I have a Pollination Technician Sim available for download
with the fixed (doesn't show up as custom content) clothing, enjoy everyone!

Just a note for all of you, Maxis will be releasing a patch for the game very soon,
make sure that you remove these hack files from your game BEFORE you install the patch, they have changed some of the coding for the game (for example the watch clouds/stars) that would require these files to be re-coded/hacked. I'm sure Maxis doesn't want complaints from people
regarding this, so I'm telling you now. I'll be making newer version of
these hacks, so don't worry, it will just take some time.

I've formatted the site a bit, you should also note that if you have ANY of these hacks in your downloads folder before you are about to upload your lots to the exchange, please remove them first. We don't want people experiencing and "abnormal" deaths or abductions do we? (The hacks get uploaded along with the lot, and people will not know that the hack are being installed).)

I just realized I should be adding dates to this stuff, oh
well... It seems in the modding community, there is talk about hacks
mysteriously disappearing from the downloads folder...It kind of worries me,
because that will mean some of these hacks might stop working after a while.
Odd... hopefully more info will be posted.
You need WinRAR (http://rarlabs.com/) to
extract the hacks, the only other option is WinACE, nothing else will
work.
If you don't understand how to install the hacks, this

will help you. Once the patch is released I'll make self-extracting files like
Maxis did for The Sims 1.

For those of you who noticed, the skin I currently have on my Sim Page has a
"fuzzy" mad scientist outfit, well this version should fix that! The
clothing no longer shows up as custom content and is much clearer now.

Always Abduct Telescope (replaces expensive Telescope):
Tired of not
getting your Sims abducted? Well now there is a solution! Download and extract
this file into your My documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads and you can get
abducted every night between 7pm and 2am whenever you stargaze with the
expensive Telescope (which is replaced using this hack, so if you have it on
your lot you don't need a new one). After you get as many abductions as you want
you can simply delete the telescopehack.package from the downloads folder and
everything will return to normal. All I did was change the behavior to ignore
whether or not the random number was correct for abduction, so it shouldn't cause
any problems. Have fun with those green babies!

Always Die from falling Satellite when watching clouds/stars:

look like an "accident"? Well now you can, with our amazing new orbital
disruption hack! Send our patented hunk o' junk crashing down on your victim
like a lead brick and collect your reward, you get to sell the satellite!
Download today into your My documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads and watch
them die in thirty minutes or less! We assume no responsibility for angry
ghosts...
If it appears that your Sim just won't die by satellite, you have
to wait until they are lying on their back, it should happen shortly after
that.

Prevent A+ Memory every time:
Urg, have many of you are annoyed with the
constant appearance of the A+ memory for your Sims who do really well in school?
Well I got sick and tired of the A+ memory filling up all my family's memories
and decided to do something about it. Once this hack is installed the A+ memory
will no longer be added when they come home from school, so if you have a Sim
who doesn't have that yet and you want it, you need to remove the hack so you
can. Their performance can still be an A+ and they will still jump for joy and run
to their family to gloat, but they won't get that blasted memory clogging them
up. This may be a "partial" solution for the action jump out bug (but does not
fix it for those who already have it) and allows for you to play without worry
of filling up the memories as much (but the patch should have already fixed
that). This is by no means complete, later I plan to add a check to see if the
memory is there and delete any extras that may have come after the first (may or
may not be possible but I'll try). I mean, in real life do any parents really
remember every single A+ their child gets when they are an exceptional student
and it's expected every day? I think not...

Woohoo cinematic (For double beds):
If you
haven't noticed (or just don't have the special even camera turned on in
options) the woohoo cinematic for beds only plays once in a Sim's relationship
with their love. So, what I've done is created a very simple hack to ignore the
fact that a set of Sims has already woohoo'd together and play the video every
time you woohoo in bed. Useful for making movies and doesn't have any ill
effects to my knowledge. You must have a fairly high end video card to be able
to use this hack, your internal or very old video card will not play the special
videos (basically if the special event camera isn't already checked in options,
then this hack is not for you).
