This tutorial will help you install the hacks from this site into your game.  The images have been modified for simplicity and understanding, your computer may appear different.

Step 1:

First you need to install WinRAR, which can be found here, then go into your My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 folder.  If you are using Windows XP you can find it by going into My Computer and finding the folder that says Your Name's Documents, ex. PatchesSim2's Documents, or by clicking on the start button.  If you are having problems finding it, go to C:\Documents an Settings\Your Name\My Documents (replace your name with the name of the user you are currently signed on as, sometimes this can be Administrator).  If you are using Windows 2000 you can find My Documents on the desktop or in C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\My Documents (aging replace you name with your current user).  If you have Windows 98, then you can find My Documents on the Desktop or at C:\My Documents.  It should look similar to this:

Step 2:

Now, if you have a downloads folder already then skip to step 3 otherwise we need to create it.  To create a new folder, right click on a white empty space in the window and go to new-folder.  Type "Downloads" into the box and press enter or click on another part of the window.

Step 3:

Open the Downloads folder and copy and paste the downloads you want installed into your game.  They should have the extension ".rar" at the end of their name.  If you do not see any icons on the files, you have not installed WinRAR and cannot proceed to Step 4.  You should see something similar to this:

Step 4:

Right click on the files and go to WinRAR-Extract Here or double click on each file and drag the name-of-hack.package from the window into the downloads folder.

Step 5:

When everything is finished, you should get something that looks like this:

You can delete the rar files if you want or move them to another folder.  Leaving them there doesn't cause any problems either.  The hacks should now work in your game without any problems.
